Join Us in Cambridge!
Posted on December 16, 2019
You probably know the University of Cambridge as one of the film locations for Harry Potter or as the alma mater of famous people like Isaac Newton, William Wilberforce, Charles Darwin, E. M. Forster, Prince Charles, and many more! But one thing you may not know is that Cambridge is responsible for one of the largest missionary movements in modern history. With hearts stirred up by people like David Livingston, D. L. Moody, and Billy Graham (all of whom spoke at Cambridge), students by the thousands gave up lives of privilege to go serve on the mission field. It’s an amazing story, and an amazing place!
Join us this June to learn about World Christianity in one of the most iconic cities in Europe. We invite you to discover the exciting new world of missions at one of the world’s leading universities and research centers. We will begin our journey with a tour of London, take the train through the English countryside from King’s Cross to Cambridge, and arrive in the beautiful old city for a week together. You will hear morning lectures on what is happening now around the world, and enjoy afternoon excursions around Cambridgeshire. There will also be plenty of time to just enjoy the city—coffee shops, bookstores, eateries, shopping, and more.
Global Action is committed to being on the cutting edge of missions. We get to be on the front lines of what is happening around the world—and we would love for you to experience just a little taste of what God is doing. So come “taste and see,” and if you know of a friend who might be interested, pass the word along. Get more information on how to sign up today on our website.
