Meet Our Staff


Robert J. Koerper (RJ) - President

R.J. Koerper is the international president of Global Action, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Prior to that, R.J. was lead teacher and pastor of discipleship of Northern Hills Church in Brighton, Co. and served there for six years.  During those six years R.J. also taught for GLOMOS since 2011 in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and most recently the Ukraine.

R.J. grew up in Montana, graduated from Montana State University in Billings, went on to Western Seminary in Portland and graduated with an M Div degree.  After a year in the pastorate, R.J. and his family moved to Colorado, where R.J. served as an associate professor in the Biblical Studies department at Colorado Christian University, creating the Youth Ministry major, and later co-created the Outdoor Leadership Minor.  R.J. taught full time for 24 years, then part time for five before leaving CCU in 2015 to pastor full time in Brighton.  R.J. also had a part time counseling practice for 20 years.  R.J. has ministered extensively internationally, leading youth conferences in Northern and Southern Ireland, Mexico City, and Tijuana, and adult conferences in Poland and the Ukraine.   R.J. is married to Ermelinda, has two grown daughters, Sarah and Amy and three grandchildren.  In his free time, R.J. loves hanging out with his wife, running, and doing most anything outdoors.

Nasko Lazarov - V.P. of Operations

Nasko Lazarov has 20+ years of experience, serving both in the world of missions and in church settings. Prior to his joining Global Action, he served as US Director for Mission Possible USA. Together with his wife, Irena, they served as youth pastors and pastors of young adults at one of the largest youth ministries in their home country, Bulgaria...

Carin Symonette - Accountant

Carin Symonette is the accountant at Global Action. Carin’s husband is from the Bahamas and she enjoys the crystal blue water and visiting family in the islands. She conquered her fears and once played with a snake named “Julius Squeezer”.  Family is a big part of her life and she appreciates a good game, cheering her children on in their activities or building a puzzle together.

Desirae Tucker - Executive Assistant

Desirae joined the team of Global Action in September of 2013. She will have the exciting task of assisting Phil Long, managing his endless to-do lists, and helping with the various publications of Global Action. In her free time, Desirae likes to pilot and crew hot air balloons; she loves her 160lbs dog, Holly; and, she likes the great outdoors, hiking, biking, and basking in the high-elevation sun of Colorado...
