Our Global Action Board members serve our organization through a myriad of backgrounds, leading with wisdom in each of their areas of expertise. Brian Banks is an entrepreneur at heart. His experience has spanned healthcare, leadership, service and distribution. He holds a BBA from the University of Oklahoma, MBA from Oklahoma City University and currently serves on the Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development for the state of Oklahoma. Brian and his wife Vickey love every minute with their 6 grandchildren.

When asked how our 2025 theme “Invest” connects truth from the Word of God to his business knowledge, here is what Mr. Banks shared.

“Recently, I have been focused on the idea of succession planning for my business.  As l consider my career of over 40 years, I realize that there is no greater responsibility as a leader than that of investing in the next generation.  This is a serious investment as I recognize that I am investing in the generation that will succeed me.  Investing in others is where real traction happens.

Jesus commands us to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).  In other words, invest the truth of Jesus in others in a way that lives are changed for eternity.  To what extent does this command apply?  This passage tells me to make disciples in every area of life.  This requires an investor mentality.  Jesus knew that it was by investing in others His Church would grow and multiply, and that is exactly what happened.

I read numerous truths and principles in Scripture that encourage me to have an investor mentality which requires intentionality and focus on building for the future. In so doing, growth and multiplication occur.”

“I cannot imagine having a greater opportunity to invest in others than Global Action has.  Intentionally investing in leaders in hard places around the world, knowing that the Holy Spirit will multiply the seeds.  That’s an investment worth making with an eternal return!”
