Exponential Growth in Latin America

Hard pressed, but not disheartened. Struck down, but not destroyed. The Apostle Paul’s description of Christ’s victory over present suffering still rings as true today in Latin America as it did for him in the Ancient Middle East. These are stories of church leaders’ success in the midst of sorrow.

The landscape features realities of poverty, natural disaster demolition, cartel corrupting government, church opposition. But Christ has declared His people as more than conquerors! The church in Latin America is worshipping in power, welcoming new believers, and growing through theological education.

“I’m so excited right now for what God is doing in Latin America through Global Action as over the past two years; our work in Mexico has experienced exponential growth. We began last year with a single location, and this year we have expanded to three active groups—two of which recently graduated. We just launched two additional new groups in September and are projecting further expansion into three new class locations next year,” exudes Lupi Pollo, Global Action faculty in Latin America.

Yes, the suffering is real, and you can invest in prayers through the needs below. But local church leaders like Karina and Pastor Juan are bringing Christ’s transformation in their generations to their communities.

Jesus promised to build His church, and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. We are bearing witness to the building of His church through theological education. Thank you for your partnership with these brothers and sisters as they prevail in Jesus’ name!

In Christ,

Dr. Rick Thompson
