How Foundations Graduates Are Passing Along Their Theological Education

Operation World recently called for prayer for Ukraine:
“The recent years of destruction and scattering only increase the need for godly, well-trained leadership. Since 2022, many churches and ministries were either in survival mode, were displaced, or shuttered completely. Yet, opportunities for holistic and compassionate ministries abound, and to miss this open door would be a shame…Leadership training will remain a long-term and strategic need in Ukraine,” (OperationWorld.Org).
What an honor for Global Action graduates and faculty to stand as answers to these exact prayers. With their theological education, they are implementing ministry plans and reaching their communities with the good news of Jesus Christ!
Here is what two Foundations graduates have to share about their theological education and how they are applying their skills.
Yehor Kushniruk trusted Christ at the age of twelve after bearing witness to his mother’s profound repentance and new life in Jesus. As he grew in his relationship with the Lord and aspirations for ministry, he knew he needed skills to match his calling. “The aspiration to advance in my ministry led me to enroll in the Foundations program. Recognizing the significance of a robust spiritual foundation in effective ministry, I found the Foundations program to be an ideal fit for my needs…The Old and New Testament modules introduced me to novel concepts and emphasized pivotal truths that had previously eluded my understanding.” Mr. Kushniruk today shepherds a house church in Kyiv, Ukraine, putting his education into action.
Martynenko Danyil experienced total life transformation when he came to Christ at age seventeen. He was rescued out of addiction and apostasy, receiving salvation, and devoting his entire life to God, stating, “My heart yearns to serve God continuously.” How could he be established in his faith and empowered to serve God?
“Recognizing the vital significance of a strong spiritual foundation, I made the decision to enroll in the Foundation program. I firmly believe that biblical education serves as the cornerstone for a complete understanding of faith, God’s character, and ministry. The study not only imparted new knowledge about faith and ministry but also provided me with answers to numerous unresolved questions that had lingered for an extended period. Consequently, I now possess a deeper comprehension of how to respond to individuals as they seek the truth,” says Mr. Danyil.
These days he serves adolescents in his local church, dreaming brightly for this generation as he pours God’s Word into their discipleship. “I firmly believe that the Lord has extraordinary plans for the new generation, and I aspire to be an integral part of what He accomplishes,” he exudes.
From house churches to youth ministry, these are voices of church leaders equipped and active in reaching the world around them with the truth of Jesus Christ!
