Hero from Moskitia

There are 10 days left for you to double your gift and help us change more lives forever. To help you understand why I’m so passionate about our work, I want to introduce you to Santos (pictured with me below).

I met Santos when I was teaching a class on leadership in Honduras. As soon as he walked in the door of the classroom in San Pedro Sula, I thought, “I’m going to get to know him.” He was nervous when I first started talking with him; but by the end of our time together he was laughing and smiling. We became friends—and I admire him more than he could ever know.

Santos is from the Miskito Coast (also called the Mosquito Coast), which is a remote region along the coastline of Honduras and Nicaragua. He traveled to San Pedro Sula by boat, and then by road in the back of a truck. It took him eight hours to get to class. And he did it every month for nearly a year until he graduated from our program! He came because there are no Bible colleges where he lives—and he wants to be used by God to transform his community with the gospel. Global Action may be the only opportunity he has to study theology.

This is the reason we do what we do. It’s not about a program—it’s about people. It’s about changed lives. It’s about giving young men and young women the training they desperately need so they can put their lives on the line in some of the most difficult places in the world. Join us and help us get closer to our goal of raising $100,000 in April and May. A generous friend of our organization will double anything you give right now. Help us train more Heroes!

Together for the Gospel,
