Need in Latin America

Not long ago I was in San José, Costa Rica, and I was reminded again why our work in Latin America is so important. I met with the lead editor of the Latin America Bible Commentary, Ian Darke, who has spent decades doing research and working with the continent’s greatest Christian leaders and thinkers. All his research and experience has led him to the conclusion that the need for trained pastors in Latin America has never been greater.

There is a shocking lack of biblical training which has led to an explosion of false doctrines like the so-called “prosperity gospel.” When pastors are unfamiliar with the Word of God or have wrong ideas about leadership, their churches suffer and their communities remain in darkness. This is one of the reasons I wrote my book, “The Healthy Church.” We have a vision to see godly pastors and ministry workers leading healthy churches with a solid foundation in the Word of God. The impact a healthy church can have on its community is astounding!
