Heroes in Europe

Can you believe that it’s May already? Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is this weekend! I want to give you an encouraging update on our Heroes matching campaign for April and May. I am excited to tell you that as of today, we have received $31,156.92, which means a total of $62,313.84 for our generosity initiative. We are more than halfway to our goal of $100,000!  If you have already given, thank you! We are making progress toward reaching a big goal.

As you know, the vision is to raise up more heroes where we are working, and one of those places is Europe! Europe is known as the birthplace of Protestantism and has a long legacy of Christianity. Sadly, as many of you know, that legacy no longer reflects reality. Even the most generous estimates today place the number of evangelical Christians at less than 3% of the total population.* It can be a hard place to be a Christian. The gospel is needed in Europe!

But God is at work—even in Europe! Joseph Demeter is a Hungarian church-planter who has a vision for the Kingdom of God in Hungary and Central Europe. This experienced leader has a burden to plant 50 churches led by 80 leaders by the year 2022. How will he raise up all the leaders he needs to do this work? He has asked Global Action to partner with them to provide the training they need to help change Central Europe with the gospel! We want to say YES!

When you give to the work of Global Action you are helping us say YES to gospel-centered church planting initiatives in places like Central Europe. We are not asking for Global Action, we are asking for the kingdom of God. Will you consider helping us reach our big goal of raising $100,000 in April and May so we can raise up more heroes to change the world? Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar and will make an eternal impact on the lives of your brothers and sisters around the world.

Thank you for joining with us as we train leaders to change the world!
