Mariluz’s Lifelong Dream Fulfilled: Theological Education to Support Ministry Skills

For Mariluz (pictured above left) in Jamundi, Colombia, initial interest in Global Action’s course came through her daughter. Bearing witness to her excitement in theological education reawakened a long-term desire in Mariluz’s own heart.

“I have always had a deep desire to train myself in the gospel. As I talked to the pastor and told him that this longing had been in me for many years, he encouraged me to take the plunge and enter the Foundations program. I felt it was God’s answer to a prayer that had been held up for a long time,” she shared.

It is common for new Foundations students to be introduced through their family and church community. They are already passionate experts in their communities’ needs, gifted by the Spirit to serve Him, and are ignited with education and skills to carry the gospel with accuracy and precision.

The empowerment of theological education is clear and marked in Mariluz’s life. Just hear her debrief after graduating in December 2025:

“After taking Foundations, I experienced a big difference in my confidence and in the way I share the gospel. Today I have more clarity, more knowledge, and I am no longer afraid to talk about God to other people. I feel empowered to take the message anywhere and serve in the church with steadfastness and confidence, knowing what I believe and why I believe it.”

God opened the door for Mariluz’s education in Colombia. God transformed her through the coursework and discipleship of Foundations. Now God has given her a vision as a practitioner for the kingdom. The final module of Foundations includes a practical tool for ministry plans and implementation.

Mariluz announced, “I have presented a ministry project that is born from what God has placed in my heart: the dream of creating a virtual radio to share the gospel with many nations. In addition, I deeply desire to develop a ministry focused on helping women who have been hurt, who struggle with low self-esteem, to accompany them and lift them up in Christ Jesus.”

At long last, Mariluz lives a bright future of evangelism and discipleship to change the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
