Thanksgiving Updates from Africa
Posted on November 23, 2022
This Thanksgiving, I want you to know that your generosity has resulted in thanksgiving to God—in some of the hardest places of the world! Some of you have already answered the call to double your impact this holiday season by giving toward our $200,000 match. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As we celebrate 25 years in ministry, your generosity will help us equip more leaders in 2023 than ever before.
In this month’s updates, we want to shine a spotlight on our work in Africa. You’ll meet Pastor Freddy, one of our new students in Uganda, whose personal experience with a cult has taught him the importance of gaining a strong foundation in the truth of Scripture so he can lead others well.
We’re also excited to share a powerful video featuring Pastor Philip from Zimbabwe, who teaches in our program. He doesn’t just teach his students information about God and the gospel—he models it. His son has special needs, and in Africa children with special needs are often seen as cursed. Pastor Philip is leading by example and showing his students how to be a blessing to the vulnerable. His humility and love are contagious. It is teachers like Philip who make our Foundations program such a life-changing experience for our students!
The needs around the world are urgent, and we are aiming to mobilize 2,500 Christian leaders to transform their communities with the gospel in the coming year. But we can’t do it without your help. If you haven’t given yet, now is the perfect time. Every dollar you give before the end of the year will be MATCHED. Will you join us in giving hope?
For the world,
Executive Vice President
